The total forest land sought for diversion is 40.146 Hectares. The total number of trees in the diversion area within Haliyal Forest Division is 25614 trees. The project proponent has given an under taking that the tree felling will be bare minimum and shall not exceed 35 % of the total enumerated trees. Thus the trees to be felled, 35% of that enumerated, works out to 8965 trees.
