The proposed project area for diversion is around 0.4626 ha of in Mullakadu RF. The over bridge was already constructed by the Port Trust now improvement of Northern side for a length of 183.39 mts and to a width of 14.87mts i.e., 2727.009 sq.m and along the Southern side for a length of 265.38mt to a width of 7.10mts i.e 1884.19sq.m. The total area comes for about 0.4611ha at Mullakadu RF. The Korampallam Surplus Couse Bridge is the only Connectivity to V.O.Chidambanar Port Trust to NH-45B(Madurai ) and NH-7A (Tirunelveli) to cater all measures of import and export of cargos.
