It is Notified as part of Shivalik Elephant Reserve and also notified part of buffer zone of Rajaji tiger reserve. Apart from buffer zone of Raja ji national park ,t is also act as corridor for the free movement of elephants in the area .Eco-friendly measures to mitigate impact impact of road needs to be taken up .
