Working plan prescription for the forest land proposed for diversion :
As per Forest Working Plan for the Nilgiris North Forest Division (01.04.2015 to 01.03.2025) 5.15.3.5 Preservation of Plantations: Felling of trees of any kind is totally forbidden in the Municipal limits, Water catchment areas, Plantation on high slopes and on Highway road areas.

Brief note on vulnerability of the forest area to erosion :
The proposed site is less vulnerable to erosion as the slope is less than 1/3,further it is covered by bushes, invasive alien species like Ulex europeous (gorse), Euphatorium etc.,
