This project is for laying optical fiber cable to improve communication with 4G facility at National Level. This proposal is for laying the OFC cable from Theppakadu via Masinagudi to Moyar passing Mudumalai Tiger Reserve so as to ensure connectivity with the other areas. The people from all over India would be benefited on completion of this project and is to effect on the operational capabilities for the development of the Nation the project is justified. Hence the proposal is recommended.

The Government have accepted the proposal for diversion of 0.426 ha. of forest land in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve for laying of underground Optical Fibre Cable from Theppakkadu to Moyar via Masinagudi passing through Mudumalai Tiger Reserve Core Zone in the Nilgiris District in favour of M/s. Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, Chennai, for a period of 20 years, under section 2 of Forest Conservation Act, 1980 subject to certain conditions.
