Please specify your views/comments on the matter. Whether there are any rehabilitation and resettlement plan required against the proposed diverted area. Please submit the hardcopies in 4 nos. of sets parallelly with the online submission together with all required documents, maps with authentication signature of the DFO and UA, Site inspection report, Land suitability certificate, Survey of India Toposheet Map, Geo-reference map of both proposed diverted and CA areas, documents provided by the UA, one set of original affidavits with 3 nos. of photocopies

Sir, out of the 3832 trees enumerated, 2363 trees are below 30 cm girth and 1469 trees are above 30 cm girth. These trees are spread over an area of 44.78 ha and the canopy density is very low. There are no requirement of displacement of people from the proposed diversion site and hence resettlement plan does not arise. Hardcopies of the required documents have been forwarded to your good office along with CDs containing the required files.

During site visit of the CF on 04/02/2023 together with the project proponent representative represented by an Executive Engineer and ACF of the DFO Sonitpur East Division & other officials, it is observed that there is every possibility to align the road with the existing interstate boundary road of Assam-Arunachal Pradesh Border connecting the existing road to reach to the destination without diverting new RF areas. As such, you are hereby asked to convene a meeting with the User Agency to discuss the matter immediately and to avoid delays in submitting the proposal.

As observed by CF, NAC, during his visit to proposed site, a meeting his hereby convened on 21/02/2023 at 11 AM in the office chamber of DFO, Sonitpur East Division, to discuss the possibility of aligning the road with existing interstate boundary road of Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border. As such you are hereby requested to attend or depute an officer to attend the meeting for further action in this regard.

the proposal for the diversion of forest land for the improvement and upgradation of the Ghogorabasti–Howajan road (under Asom Mala) has been revised. The required area within the Gohpur Reserve Forest has been reduced from 44.78 ha to 23.4461 ha. Accordingly, the number of trees marked for felling has also decreased from 3,832 to 832.
