The proposal of the Secretary, Kadukka Gramapanchayath for seeking permission to construct Poovadukka – Adukkathotty road through Karadukka Reserve Forest is to provide road connectivity to one SC colony and 150 other families of Poovadukka – Adukkathotty area in Kasaragod Forest Division. The extent of forest land to be diverted is 0.27 Ha. Since there is no other means to construct road other than a forest land. The proposal is submitted for approval.

The proposed diversion area of 0.27 Ha forms part of Karadukka RF under Kasaragod Range of Kasaragod Division is the existing coupe road being used by locals for their commutation to nearby town. This proposal of Poovadka – Adukkathotty – Nellithattu Road, does not require any tree felling, since improving of road that is concreting need to be done in the existing Kacha road so that it can be made as Pacca motorable Road. Considering there is no alternate road is available for the commutation of local people and the beneficiaries are mostly the downtrodden people the project is recommended for sanction.
