Working plan prescription for the forest land proposed for diversion :
The forest land proposed for diversion is worked under Broad Leaf Endemic Species Dev. Working Circle of Sixth Working Plan for the forest of Kurseong Forest Division (1997-98 to 2017-18). Year wise harvesting of matured plantation is adopted with rotation period of 70 yrs. Harvesting by Clear Felling Coupe followed by Artificial Regeneration is done in areas below 500 mtr. mean sea level.

Brief note on vulnerability of the forest area to erosion :
The forest land proposed for diversion flanks the right bank of Teesta River drainage and its watershed. Vulnerability to soil erosion is very high due to unstable geo-formation.

Common leopard, Indian Gaur, Chinese Pangolin, Barking Deer, Wild Bore, Variety of Snakes, Monitor Lizard, Roufous Necked hornbill, Kalij Pheasants, Peacock etc.
