DivisionCircleRecommendation ByRecommendationReasonLetter Whether CF agreed
Kangsabati (North)South WestDFO RecommendedThis is the bare minimum area required.
BurdwanSouth- East CircleDFO RecommendedThe project being a large one involving major impact on development in industrial sector the proposed diversion of forest land of 1.63 ha in Burdwan Forest Division and on analysing alternatives, it was found that diversion of this minimum forest land could not be avoided.
Bankura NorthCentralDFO RecommendedIt was found that the above said land is the bare minimum land considered for the project and is not avoidable. The said area does not fall under any wildlife corridor. The alternate proposals involve more forest land hence the current proposal for forest land diversion over an area of 0.596ha is recommended for laying of Jagdishpur Haldia –Bokaro Dhamra Pipe line
CentralCF RecommendedConsidering the importance of transfer of bulk natural gas to many states, including the state of West Bengal, which in turn will help in Socio Economic Development of the State, the 0.596 ha forest land may be diverted in favor of GAIL for laying the underground Jagdishpur Haldia Bokaro Dharma JHBDPL Pipeline.8888Yes
South WestCF RecommendedThis is the bare minimum area required.Yes
South- East CircleCF RecommendedThe Proposal for laying underground pipeline will affect 1630 Meters x 10 Meters 16300 Sq meter of forest land Protected Forest where good Sal trees and associates, plantations of Eucalyptus including Clonal, Akashmoni are existing. As per enumeration list, total 1271 nos. of Sal, Akashmoni, Eucalyptus, Mahua, Bahera, Pial, Jiol, Kelikadam, Piasal, Sonalu etc trees in forest are required to fell. The number of trees to be felled Particularly Sal can be minimized/reduced if entry and use of heavy machineries are avoided. Since, no probable alternative is available, therefore, considering the importance of transfer of bulk natural gas the 1.63 ha of forest land may be allowed to use for laying the underground Jagdishpur Haldia Bokaro Dharma JHBDPL pipeline without changing nature and character of the forest in question provided all terms and conditions are followed. 1. To reduce the damage to the forest and minimizing felling of trees, the laying of pipeline can be arranged by engaging manpower as far as practicable. 2. Once the pipes are laid, the ground surface, should be left free from any type of manual/ mechanical intervention so that the natural character/ environment /eco system is maintained.Yes
Nodal Officer RecommendedThis is the bare minimum area required.
