The proposed project area is around 0.4626 ha of Forest land in Mullakadu RF and the proposed Project is proposed in Mullakadu RF of Thoothukudi Forest Range, the over bridge was already constructed by the Port Trust now improvement of existing bridge on the Korampallam Surplus Couse Bridge, North 183.39Mts length and width 14.87mt 2727.009m2 South 265.38mtX 7.10 1884.19m2 total 0.4611ha at Mullakadu RF the bridge is only Connectivity of V.O.Chidambanar Port Trust to NH 45B Madurai and NH 7A Tirunelveli to cater all measures of import and export cargoes, and better connectivity for the local people, TTPS,NTPL and Customs House it is across the Korampallam cana and Mullakadu RF. HENCE RECCOMMENDED

The area proposed for diversion is 0.4626 Ha. The proposed area is about 14.9m width for 183.4m length on northern side of the bridge and 7.16m width for 265.4m length on the southern side of an existing bridge across the Korampallam canal.The area is partially vegetated with Mangrove species and partially slushy and water logged due to being in tidal zone. No protected archaeological site is situated nearby. The area proposed for diversion is bare minimum.
