1. The area proposed for diversion in Kiluvamalai Reserved Forest 0.59 Ha. and in Usilampatti Reserved Forest 0.2249 ha of Madurai Range, Madurai Division for Madurai – Natham road project FP/TN/ROAD/29470/2017 is minimum required for the project. 2. The project has been proposed under feeder route scheme by connecting Tiruchy from Madurai via Natham and Thuvarankuruchi. 3. The area proposed by the user Agency is 1.567 Ha. land and there is no alternative land for the proposed project except forest land. ii The User Agency has not started any work proposed in Alagarmalai RF. iii This project involves the formation of NH road at Alagarmalai Reserved Forests of 19+000 to 19+650 RH distance, the total length of the road is 650m. and total area needed is 1.567 Ha. iv The proposed area is having plain surface and there are 55 small spontaneous trees involved in the proposed area. v This project in Alagarmalai Reserved Forest has minimum effects on environment and more beneficial to the public. vi The proposed area for diversion does not have any archeological and heritage related monuments. vii There is no Tribal Rights are affected in this project. viii Flagship species like tiger and Elephant are not available in this Reserved Forest. Hence there is no threat to major wildlife species.
