Nilgiris NorthCoimbatoreDFO RecommendedThe User Agency, M/s Total Environment habitats Private Limited, 4/41, Thuneri main road, GCP Doddabetta, Udhagamandalam, has submitted the proposal for forming an access road for Resort construction in Doddabetta, for diversion of 0.36 Hectares of Forest land in SF.No. 632 of Onnathalai Beat, Denadcombai Section, Udhagai Rural Extension I Reserved Forests of Udhagai North Range of Nilgiris Forest Division. The area of the proposed project has been inspected by me along with the Forest Range Officer, Udhagai North Range on 04.09.2021 with the relevant records. Although user agency has applied for 0.36 ha area, access road for the length of 250m and width of 9m for an extent of 0.225 Ha through forest land is sufficient. This proposal is scrutinized with the existing directives of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and provisions of Forest Conservation Act 1980, the proposed project for an area of 0.225 ha is recommended with following conditions. 1. User agency shall submit human wildlife conflict mitigation plan . 2. User agency shall submit waste disposal action plan 3. User agency shall get permission for felling of spontaneously grown 17 wattle trees, 2 blue gum trees, 3 Acacia melanoxylon, 4 cupressus and 4 shola trees Quinine,Glochidion neilgherrense . 4. The project should be completed within a period of six months from the date of approval. 5. No breaking of fresh land should be carried out other than the permission sought for. 6. No chemicals / explosives should be used. 7. Unwanted materials should not be dumped inside the reserve. 8. Adequate precautions should be taken to avoid any damage to flora and fauna and should take sole responsibility for any loss in this regard. 9. The work should be carried out only form 8.00 AM to 6.00 PM and well informed to the concerned Forest Range Officer in this regard to the daily commencement, progress and completion of the work. 10. Existing ban orders issued by the appropriate authority will be applicable. 11. Movement of wildlife should not be disturbed. 12. No materials should be collected from the forest area 13. No labour camp/cooking is allowed inside the reserved forest. 14. Any other condition that may be imposed from time to time for the Protection of improvement to flora and fauna in the forest area shall be applicable. 15. Monthly report of compliance of the conditions stipulated should be furnished to the District Forest Officer, Nilgiris Forest Division.
