The Proposal is for diversion of 0.3996 Ha of Forest land for Electric connecting for 10 No. of rural villages in over exploited blocks of Sendurai Union in Ariyalur District. The proposed site were inspected on 08.04.2021 with Forest Range Officer, Ariyalur and EB officials, TANGEDCO, Sendurai The proposed linear alignment of Electricity line runs along the existing State highway 144 from R.S.Mathur to Chennai via Andimadam road in 4 stretches. 1. Ayyur to Idaiyakurichi road Muthukulam R.F – 1553 metre. State Highway 2. Ayyur to Vallam road Ayyur R.F – 2193 metre. Panchayat Road The actual requirement is calculated as follows Electricity line length in 2 stretches 3746 metre Required width 1.0668 metre 3996.23 m2 Area required 0.3996 Ha The proposed alignment passes along the existing State highway 144 which runs through the above Reserve Forests. There are no trees or natural vegetation along the proposed alignment. These Reserve Forests are already leased out to Tamil Nadu Forest Plantation Corporation for raising Eucalyptus tereticornis and Cashew from the year 1974. The user agency has submitted necessary under taking on Compensatory Afforestation expenditure, Net present value, Additional Net present value and Annual Lease Rent. Therefore there is no objection from Forestry and Wildlife point of view. Since the proposed electricity line is provide electricity to around 10 villages would be beneficial for the development of the village. Taking into consideration of the facts stated above, I recommended the user agency’s proposal for diversion of the Forest land in Muthukulam Reserved Forests and Ayyur Reserved Forests.

The proposal area for diversion is 0.3996 Ha in Muthukulam RF & Ayyur RF in Ariyalur Range of Ariyalur Forest Division.I have inspected the Muthukulam RF & Ayyur RF and the proposed area for erection of 11 KV feeder HT feeder HT EB posts from Ayyur to Vallam village via Idaiyakurichi across Muthukulam RF and Ayyur RF on 13.10.2021 along with the District Forest Officer, Ariyalur and E.B officials.Therefore there is no objection from Forestry and Wildlife point of view. Since the proposed electricity line will provide electricity to around 10 villages which would be beneficial for the development of the villages.Hence I recommend the proposal.
