The area proposed for the diversion of 0.90 ha of forest land in Pennaiyar Reserved For€st in Sathanur Range of Thiruvannamalai Forest Division for the Construction of Fuse Plug pertaining to Thandarampattu Taluk in Sathanur Range of Thiruvaruramalai Forcst Division was inspected by me on 17.03.2022. The total area proposed for diversion is 0.90 ha. The proposed forest site comes under the classification of Southem Dry deciduous Scrub Forests. Around 68 number oftees to be felled for this project. As per the reconmendation of High Level authorities of Dam Safety Review Panel DSRP inspection report on 31.12.2020, it is decided to make suitable surplus anangements for accommodating probable maximum floods in Sathanur Reservoir. Hence for ensuring the safety of the reservoir and adjacent areas ftom excess floods, this proposal is recommended
