The User Agency has constructed building for Academic Block, Vocational Block & Hostel and road over Revenue Forest Kisam of land without prior approval of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India in contravention of the Forest Conservation Act, 1980. Kalinga Institute of Social Science KISS is a Charitable Institution imparting education to under privileged children from tribal communities from Standard I to Post Graduation with vocational and extracurricular training. Kalinga institute of Social Sciences KISS has been granted the University Status by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India vide their Letter No. No. F.9 14/2011 U.3 A dtd. 25.08.2017. The Secretary, KISS has filed this diversion proposal to obtain post facto clearance from Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. KISS will take up Compensatory Afforestation in Koraput Division in their own non forest land. In view of the above, this proposal is recommended for according approval as per provision of Section – 2 of the Forest Conservation Act, 1980 with imposition of Penal Compensatory Afforestation over 10 Acres 4 ha. in Jagannath Prasad PRF in Chandaka Damapara Wildlife Sanctuary in Bhubaneswar Tahasil of Khordha District nearby KISS, Patharagadia, Bhubaneswar
