The instant forest diversion proposal has been submitted by M/s OMC Ltd for diversion of 7.518 ha Forest land outside the mining lease for transportation of minerals from their mining lease. As the existing road is passing through thickly populated Suakati village and the ML is located from all other sides. Therefore the submitted proposal is to facilitate transportation of minerals from ML area to the NH 49. In view of the above, the proposal for grant of approval for 7.518 ha forest land for use of road transportation of iron ore from the mining lease Gandhamardan A&B iron ore mines of M/s OMC Ltd under section 2 ii of Forest Conservation Act, 1980 may be considered.
