Proposal for diversion of 27.343 ha of forest land Phulbani Division 7.722 ha + Ghumsur North Division 19.621 ha. for widening of existing 2 lane to 2 lane with 1.5 m wide paved shoulder of NH 157 from Km 0/0 to 81/00 Phulbani Division and 93/00 to 119/00 Gh. North Division on EPC mode in State of Odisha, aims to improve socio economic development and to provide safety of vehicular traffic and increase of fuel efficiency of vehicles plying on this road.It will allow speedy movement of vehicles in the left wing affected area and help in socio economic growth of the area. Since the project is initiated with a larger interest of general public of locality vis à vis the State as a whole, the proposal for diversion of 27.343 ha of forest land for widening of existing 2 lane to 2 lane with 1.5 m wide paved shoulder on both sides of road NH 157 from Km 0/0 to 81/00 and 93/00 to 119/00 is recommended.
