5. Working plan prescription for the forest land proposed for diversion : The proposed diverted area over 17.795 ha. is coming under the Bidubhandar PRF. As per approved working plan prescription the total area over 10871.25ha. of Bidubhandar PRF coming under the Wildlife (Overlapping) working circle the total area of Bidhubhandar PRF over 10871.25 ha. is recognized as buffer zone of Similipal Tiger Reserve.
6. Brief note on vulnerability of the forest area to erosion : 2. Tract, having undulating terrain, soil erosion dos'not pose serious threat as this tract having integrated of rocks, soil, vegetation in stable manner scope for less erosion.
7. Approximate distance of the proposed site for diversion from boundary of forest(in km.) : 0.2
8. Significance of the forest land proposed for diversion from wildlife point of view
(i). Details of wildlife present in and around the forest land proposed for diversion : Bear, Spotted deer, Barking deer, Wild Pig, Hyena, Jackal, Indian Hare, Monkey, Leopard, Elephant
(ii). Whether forms part of national park, wildlife sanctuary, biosphere reserve, tiger reserve, elephant corridor, wildlife migration corridor etc. : Yes
Details and comments on the impact of Project on such areas : The proposed area of 17.795 hec. proposed to be diverted is coming under Bidubhandar PRF. As per the Tiger Conservation Plan the wild fauna and the habitats in the buffer area is largely as same that of core area but presently the concentration of wild animals is more in core than buffer as because of more biotic interference, there is hardly any wild life movement noticed across the NH-6 due to heavy vehicular traffic and as the habitats is prone to biotic interference , the open forest species like wolf, hyena, Indian fox , are found confined to this buffer areas including forest fringe village areas, but their presence is sparsely observed, mainly prevalence of wild animals like Bear, Spotted Deer, Wild Pig, Leopard, Elephants are there, but their sighting also is rarely seen due to existing heavy traffic
(iii). Whether the forest land proposed for diversion is located within eco-sensitive zone(ESZ) of the Protected Area notified under Wildlife(Protection) Act,1972 (Note: In case, ESZ of a Protected Area is not notified,then,10kms distance from boundary of the Protected Area should be treated as ESZ): Yes
Details of Protected Area and comments on the impact of Project on the ESZ : This patch of land over 17.795ha over the stretch of 7.6 km is having arial distance of about 8 KM. from the Boundary of Similipal Sanctuary and is being treated as eco-sensitive zone but not notified. It is pertinent to mention here that road and Highways act is barrier to wildlife as because they disrupt movement of wild populations and connectivity between communities of inter state it is pertinent to mentioned here that the proposed area of 17.795 hec. proposed to be diverted is coming und
(iv). Whether any national park, wildlife sanctuary, biosphere reserve, tiger reserve, elephant corridor, wildlife migration corridor etc., is located within 1 Km. from boundary of the forest land proposed for diversion : Yes
Details and comments on the impact of Project on such areas : As per the T.C.P. the wild fauna and the habitats in the buffer area is largely as same that of core area but presently the concentration of wild animals is more in core than buffer as because of more biotic interference, there is hardly any wild life movement noticed across the NH-6 due to heavy traffic
(v). Whether any rare/endangered/unique species of flora and fauna found in the area : Yes
9. Details of any protected archaeological/heritage site/defence establishment or any other important monument located in the area, if any
(i). Whether any protected archaeological/heritage site/defence establishment or any other important monument is located in the area : No
10. Comment as to the reasonability of the extent of the forest land proposed for diversion
(i). Whether the requirement of forest land as proposed by the user agency is unavoidable and bare minimum for the project : Yes
11. Details of violation(s), if any ,committed
(i). Whether any work in violation of the Act or guidelines issued under the Act has been carried out : No
12. Whether work in violation is still in progres(Yes/No) : NIL

RairangpurBaripadaDFO RecommendedPositive impact On widening of the NH 6 the transportation system i.e., transport of goods and traffic will be significantly improved and vehicular accidents would also substantially be reduced, also widening to four lanes, the width of the carriage way will be improved with required gradients for smoothed traffic. Negative impact Altogether about 11,142 nos. trees will be felled due to widening of the NH 6. This will be compensated through compensatory afforestation and will have little effect on Climate Change.
