Wild fauna like Mongoose, Snakes, Lizards, Monkeys, reported in the proposed diversion of forest land. However movement of Elephant is reported in the Totapada RF which is 5 Km from the project area.

After meticulous study of the project report & site inspection, the following points are considered for recommendation. 1. The project involved 0.4803 hectare Revenue Forest Land, 0.0539 hectare Forest Land as on dated 25.10.1980 Sabik & 0.6579 hectare of DLC Forest land. 2. The proposed forest area is unavoidable and barest minimum for the purpose of implementation of Dhamra – Haldia Pipeline DHPL project, a spur line of Jagadishpur – Haldia – Bokaro – Dhamra Pipeline JHBDPL project in Balasore districts of Odisha by GAIL India Limited A Govt. of India Undertaking . 3. The proposed diversion of forest land will not attract any displacement of people and also will not affect any valuable flora & fauna. 4. The said proposal is for the larger interest of the public. In view of the above, the said proposal is hereby recommended for necessary approval under section 2 of the Forest Conservation Act, 1980.
