Generally migrated Elephant, Spotted deer, Wild boar, Fox, Barking Deer, common Languor, Jackal, Sloth Beer, Hyena, Squirrel Mongoose, Ratel, Hare, Pangolin, Peacock, Red Jungle Fowl, Porcupine, Ring Dove, Parrot, Koel, Indian Wild Lizard, King Cobra, Cobra, Python, Common Indian Krait are found in the area.

The Chromite belt in Sukindsa Valley of Jajpur District, Odisha contains about 98.4 percent of the total Chromite resources of India. The Chromite mining leases of this valley are in operation to produce chromite to meet both indigenous and overseas requirements. In a view to meet the raw material requirement of own industries, it is required to increse the production by developing the mining lease.
