Bamebari Iron & Manganese Mines of M/s Tata Steel Ltd, granted over 464.00 ha, comprises of 3 blocks namely Bamebari, Joribar and Baneikela under Barbil Tahasil of Keonjhar District involves 170.157 ha of Reserve Forest, 62.844 ha of Revenue Forest, 149.268 ha of DLC Forest land and 66.126 ha of Non Forest Land recorded as Forest as on 25.10.1980 and 15.605 ha of Non forest land. Forest land over 145.329 ha has already been diverted under Sec 2 ii of FC Act, 1980. The instant proposal over 303.066 ha involves 115.308 ha of Reserve Forest, 48.893 ha of Revenue Forest & 72.739 ha of DLC Forest & 66.126 ha of Non forest land recorded as Forest as on 25.10.1980 is submitted for approval under Sec 2 ii of the FC Act, 1980. The said proposal over 303.066 ha, forest land is therefore, submitted for necessary approval under Sec 2 ii of FC Act, 1980 taking the aforesaid fact into consideration.
