The proposal is a case of road upgradation for which 31.679 hectares of forest land is required. The road passes through the forest of Satpura-Pench corridor. The Environment, Forests and Climate Change Ministry's latter No. 8-64 / 2013-FC dated 20.08.2014 has clarified that the Forest (Conservation) Act permission will not be kept pending for sanction from National Board for Wildlife approval.
