The density of the forest cannot be ascertained as the area has already been under violation, and all Forest of Manipur falls under eco class 1, so the area must also be under eco class 1. As the area proposed for diversion is meant for the much needed water supply to the urban and rural masses in the nearby villages and city. Hence, the proposal for diversion in recommended.
