6. Brief note on vulnerability of the forest area to erosion : The roads are to be expanded by cutting the hill earth which are generally very step. Therefore, during the monsoon, the freshly cut earth are prone to erosion and landslide.
7. Approximate distance of the proposed site for diversion from boundary of forest(in km.) : 0
8. Significance of the forest land proposed for diversion from wildlife point of view
 (i). Details of wildlife present in and around the forest land proposed for diversion : The area has no reports of the presence of Schedule I species of animals
 (ii). Whether forms part of national park, wildlife sanctuary, biosphere reserve,tiger reserve, elephant corridor, wildlife migration corridor etc. : No
 (iii). Whether the forest land proposed for diversion is located within eco-sensitive zone(ESZ) of the Protected Area notified under Wildlife(Protection) Act,1972 (Note: In case, ESZ of a Protected Area is not notified,then,10kms distance from boundary of the Protected Area should be treated as ESZ): Yes

The proposal for diversion of 70.1866 Hectare Forest land 57.1546 Ha under Ukhrul District and 13.0320 Ha under Senapati District is the barest minimum. There is no alternate site/alignment and recommended subject to the following condition “As the proposed site is hilly terrain prone to soil erosion/land slide particularly in Ukhrul District, adequate protection measures such as protection/retaining wall, site specific soil and moisture conservation measures at vulnerable points shall be required to avoid landslides”.
