While agreeing with the information and recommendation made by the DFO/DCF Chandel in the forest diversion proposal of 22.045 ha of forest land for widening/improvement of exsting road Chakpikarong Sajik Aigejang Khongtal 0 KM to 19.5 KM to NHSL specifications in the State of Manipur, the proposal for diversion of 10.12 ha land is recommended for clearance under section 2 of Forest Conservation Act, 1980 based on the following points 1. The project proposal involved no large scale felling of trees , the enumeration of trees recorded maximum trees as saplings and pole sizes of Quercus and Castanopsis, among others, and no significant or adverse impact is anticipated on the existing eco system. 2. Being a public utility project to ensure and uplift the socio economic conditions of the people in the border areas, with better means to access better health, education and communication facilities thereby paving a way for all round development that a better communication could possibly offer, the project proposal is recommended.

The Project for Widening/lmprovement of existing road Chakpikarong Sajik Aiqejang 0 km to 19.5 km to NHSL specifications by 84 RCC GREF in Chandel district of Manipur is taken up to develop the road infrastructure, reliable transportation and communication with the neighboring villages and to the district Head Quarter.
