The proposal is meant for additional water supply from Wahrisa spring source to Lower Lumparing area and also to different areas under the Shillong Municipality areas. Hence the Proposal is recommended.

The proposal pertains to diversion n of 0.0269 Ha. of forest land additional water supply from Wahrisa Spring Source to Lower Lumparing under Amrut . Perused the views of the Conservator of Forests Territorial , Khasi & Jaintia Hills in Part III wherein it is observed that there are no trees to be felled. As the project will be of great importance for the general public residing in Lower Lumparing and other areas falling under Shillong Municipality, I therefore, concur to the views of Divisional Forest officer T and Conservator of Forests T for diversion of the forest land for the aforementioned purpose. Hence, the proposal is recommended.
