Nodal Officer Recommended The proposal pertains to diversion of 0.765 Ha of Forest Land for laying of Overhead Optical Fibre Cable by BSNL in Rongrenggre, Songsak and Darugre Reserve Forest. It will pass through Tura RD Nongstoin Road, Chisobibra, Williamnagar Road and National Highway 62 through Rongrenggre Reserve Forest, Songsak Reserve Forest, and Darugre Reserve Forest. Perused the views of the Conservator of Forests, Wildlife and Territorial, Garo Hills Region, Tura in Part III. The length of the Optical Fibre Cable required inside the Reserve Forest is 25.5 kms which necessitates diverting 0.765 Ha of forest land. The project does not involve felling of trees.
