The Forest Land Proposed for Diversion is prone to erosion during the Floods, since it is situated within 50 m from the River bank of R.Manda

The Area proposed for Diversion of this Project falls under the Chimabangshi Reserve Forest, which is the Elephant Crossing Zone. Whereas, since the area proposed for the Project is only 0.01 Ha , there is no significant impact on the Elephant Crossing Zone.

The proposed Hydrological Observation Station is under the National Hydrology Project, Government of India, and the data collected from the observation station will be used for water resources planning and for flood prediction and it is proposed in the above mentioned location in order to get the accurate details regarding the water flow and other parameters of the Manda River and its proximity to the Permanent Bridge. Also, since the area being diverted is only 0.01 Ha, with no felling of trees involved and since it is not an industry or an activity which causes pollution in any form. Thus, the proposed Hydrological Observation Station near the Manda River inside Chimabangshi Reserve Forest is Recommended.
