Significance of the forest land proposed for diversion from wildlife point of view
(i).
Details of wildlife present in and around the forest land proposed for diversion :
The proposed site is not affecting the Sanctuary area but it passing through the proposed Eco-Sensitive Zone of Katepurna wildlife Sanctuary. The proposed site is also not affecting the Sanctuary area but it passing through the 10km Eco-Sensitive Zone of Karanja Sohal Black Buck wildlife Sanctuary. The wildlife proposals No. FP/MH/ROAD/20356/2016 & FP/MH/ROAD/25898/2017 regarding to get comments from Chief wildlife Warden have been submitted.Around the forest land proposed for diversion mainly Panther, Barking Dear,Nilgai, Black Buck, Wild Boar, Jungle cat, Striped Hyena,Rabbit and Common Langur.

Whether forms part of national park, wildlife sanctuary, biosphere reserve,tiger reserve, elephant corridor, wildlife migration corridor etc. :

The proposed site is not affecting the Sanctuary area but it passing through the proposed Eco-Sensitive Zone of Katepurna wildlife Sanctuary. The proposed site is also not affecting the Sanctuary area but it passing through the 10km Eco-Sensitive Zone of Karanja Sohal Black Buck wildlife Sanctuary. Sufficient structures like Bridges 17 Nos WUP 03 Nos CUP/PUP 28 Nos WOP 02 Nos Viaducts 13 Nos and Culverts 87 Nos are proposed. No major impact of project on ESZ.

The State Govt has taken a decision to construct Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway vide G R Dt 16/08/2016. No Sisco-cultural,Religious values have been affected in the project. Though the proposed alignment of Express Highway passes through some extent of forest area , some provisions likeWUO/PUP/VUP/WOP are proposed for the free movement of wildlife. The whole alignment of the Express Highway will be covered by chain link fence no chance for the accident of wildlife. Hence re- commanded for acceptance.
