As per the working plan the proposed diversion area i.e Khandiyal Lungma and Ghoshon Ralam of Drass headquarter bead is proposed under degraded Forest working conservation and Plantation working circle Kargil Forest Division ( UT Ladakh)

The hilly tophography of forest land involved in the applied mining lease, will result in soil erosion following felling trees.
