Working plan prescription for the forest land proposed for diversion :
The proposed site is not a plantation, hence working plan prescription is not to fell the trees in other situations

Brief note on vulnerability of the forest area to erosion :
It is an existing road, widening is proposed. there are cuttings to be done upto 2m. Retaining wall should be constructed for this . There is not any other soil errossion problem

The proposal for diversion of 0.182 Ha of forest land for widening the existing stretch of Hill Highway in Kozhikkode District through Kuttyadi Churam falls under Kozhikkode Division in Northern Circle, Kannur. The above mentioned proposal is recommended by the undersigned on the following grounds and conditions. Grounds 1. The required land is barest minimum 2. No displacement of families is required due to this project 3. The widening of road would essentially reduce the traffic congestion along the ghat route. 4. The proposed area does not form part of any protected area/heritage site/site of archaeological importance/defence establishments. 5. The project does not adversely affect the flora and fauna of the area Conditions 1. Required NPV and CA shall be borne by User Agency. 2. The cutting portions should be protected by constructing retaining walls.
