The proposal of the secretary ,Delampady grama panchayath for seeking permission to construct Bridge across pallanchi River in Badadukka reeserve forest is to provide connectivity to 18 ST families from the colony for better convenience.The extent of forest land to be diverted is 0.0063 Ha.Since there is no other means to construct road other than a forest land.The proposal is submitted for approval.

The proposed diversion area of 0.0063 Ha forms part of Adoor RF under Kasaragod Range of Kasaragod Division is the existing coupe road being used by locals for their commutation to nearby town. The proposal of construction of bridge to connect Vellarikkaya Tribal Colony, does not require any tree felling, since construction of bridge need to be done in the existing forest coupe road across Pallanji River. Considering there is no alternate connectivity to tribal settlement is available for the commutation of tribal people and the beneficiaries are exclusively tribal people the project is recommended for sanction.
