The proposed work of heightening of existing EHV Electrical Power transmission lines by the KPTCL is of public interest and is being taken up with the purpose of facilitating construction of viaduct/elevated corrdior by BMRCL. Proposed increase of height of the transmission lines also minimizes possible hazards in terms of Forest fires and accidents. Further, proposed upgradation work causes minimal disturbance to the existing vegetation and involves minimal requirement of additional forest land
