The forest is poor and open due to over exploitation in the past and much of the area is covered with scrub type of thorny species. The present condition is of patchy growth of Kakke, Channagi, Sandal, Thangadi etc. The department has made efforts for artificial regeneration by introducing local species and these area doing better.
