SagarShimogaDFO RecommendedThe “Proposal No. FP/KA/RAIL/155505/2022 submitted by the user agency after site inspection, the area does not fall within the eco sensitive zones, there will be no damage for the vegetation in the proposed area except the proposed and permitted. So there are no violations of Forest Conservation , Act 1980 in the proposed area. Since the project is for public utility, the diversion of forest land of 38.87 Ha is recommended for approval.
ShimogaShimogaDFO RecommendedAs the project passes through the forest area, a wildlife mitigation plan is prepared and enclosed. In which underpasses where wildlife movement is more and chain link mesh fencing all along the track on both sides is proposed to be constructed to facilitate the movement of wildlife across the railway tracks and reduces the chances of wildlife casualties. This project provides the essential connectivity to the rural people of Shikaripura Taluk with its district headquarter and it also provides employment for the local people. This project found to be essential for the local people. Hence the Proposal No FP/KA/RAIL/155505/2022 submitted by the user agency “Deputy Chief Engineer, Construction, South Western Railway, Mysore” may be considered.
ShimogaCF RecommendedThe proposed railway line runs through flat areas both in forest and adjoining non forest agricultural lands and does not involve either cutting the hills or disturbing any slopes. Since, the forest area proposed for diversion is for the public purpose of connecting large number of densely populated habitations and the area sought by the user agency is unavoidable and barest minimum for the project, approval for the proposal may be accorded.Yes
