The project proposed is along the existing road. The pipeline will be laid and the excavated soil will be relaid on the pit so there is no possibility of erosion in the said area.

The proposed area for diversion is within the buffer area of proposed ESZ and within 10 KMS deemed ESZ as per the Orders of the Honourable Surpreme Court. The project will not have any major impact on the PA because the pipeline will be laid all along the existing road. After the laying of pipeline, the excavated area will be refilled and made good just as it was there previously.

The diversion is proposed for laying of pipeline for water supply to Shingtrayankere tank under the lift irrigation scheme of 4072 Special Component Plan so that it serves as a perennial source of water for irrigation and other non potable needs of the village.
