BRT Tiger ReserveChamarajanagaraDFO Not-RecommendedInspected the proposed diversion area Vishwa Shanthinikethana Trust on 05 02 2019 and 18 02 2019. The area is having good vegetation. Since the area is well within the tiger reserve wild animals like tiger, elephant, guar, chital etc., and wild varieties of birds are found in this area. Proposed area is near to Biligiri Rangana Temple which is a piligrimage centre. Proposed area is near to the main road going to this temple. Leasing this area to the trust in no way helps in conservation of biodivesity of this tiger reserve, instead movement of people who visit this trust disturbs the movement of wild animals in and around this area which may increase man and animal conflict. Since the proposed area falls in the core zone of the tiger reserve, I strongly recommend to reject this proposal in the interest of man and wildlife.
