Working plan prescription for the forest land proposed for diversion :
The proposed area for diversion falls in REhabilatation-cum-Protection working circle, wherein the rehabilitation of the degraded forest area by protection of existing vegetation from various biotic nd abiotic pressure aided by ANR measures and SMC activities is prescribed.

Brief note on vulnerability of the forest area to erosion :
The proposed area for diversion is a part of Shivlik hills and consists of Kandi formations which is prone to erosin

The roads take off from village Gunni and surrounding areas are expected to be benefited by construction of this road on their completion and will provide connectivity to a population of about 10,000 souls inhabiting village Gunni. Also it will provide alternate/shortest connectivity to Billawar, Basholi and Bani areas with District Head Quarter. Therefore, in view of the envisaged benefits of the project for the local population it is recommended that the Project may be granted the Stage I or In principle approval.
