5. Working plan prescription for the forest land proposed for diversion : Compartments involved in forest land proposed for diversion are 3/P, 4a/P, 4b/P, 5a/P, 5b/P, 8/P & 9/P of Latyar and Kultyar Beats of Block Lander Range Panchari. Area in Co.3/P, 4a/P & 9/P falls under Rehablitation cum Reboishment Working Circle. Prescriptions proposed: The reboisment and rehabilitation of degraded forest areas along with necessary soil moisture conservation measures, will be carried out along with afforestation work. The working circle has been constituted with the objective of creating multiple product zones so that these forests act as a buffer to the well stocked core forests. These forests will be managed to meet the fuel, fodder and Non timber forest produce (NTFP) requirement of the people. Area in Co. 4b/P, 5b/P & 8/P falls under Deodar/Kail Working Circle Prescriptions proposed: These forests shall be worked under the selection system. This is most important working circle, as the crop managed under it is highly valuable from economic point of view. Area in Co. 5a/P, falls under Fir Working Circle Prescriptions proposed: These areas shall be protected against the biotic pressure and supplemented with artificial regeneration. To promote natural regeneration the thick raw humus layer shall be removed reasonably.
6. Brief note on vulnerability of the forest area to erosion : As the terrain is hilly, all possible preventive measures will have to be taken by the user agency for preventing the possibility of soil erosion.
