Ramban Forest DivisionChenab Circle DodaDFO RecommendedThe project is recommended because the area to be diverted is very small 0.4402 ha and no felling of tree is involved . The project will not have any major impact on flora and fauna of the area. Mitigation measures in the form of Compensatory Afforestation plan over 0.88 ha degraded forest area has been proposed to compensate any environment loss due to the project. The proposed project i.e laying of OFC cable is very important as it will provide 4G networks to the rural areas of the Ramban District for better connectivity and is part of Digital India Programme. The villages benefitted from this project area from Magerkote to Alinbass Dangdal and surrounding villages. The project after completion the internet facility will be used by the defence forces, local administrations and local populations without any hindrances. It is therefore recommended that the project may be cleared under the Forest Conservation Act, 1980.
