The site is very close to the main Kupwara town just few meters from the office of Deputy Commisioner Kupwara besides main Bus stand and main Market. The said road project has been formulated to decongest the traffic in the main Kupwara town as vehicles going to the Lolab and adjoining areas will utilise this road without crossing the main town and as such will reduce the traffic conjestion in the town. The project is of extreme importance and there is no alternative other than to cross this small patch of forest land. Proper protection measures will be got constructed from the user agency to avoid any sort of erosion or forest degradation. The proposal is strongly recommeded for early clearance as this is one of the prestigious projects of Kupwara district and is one of the main demand from the public representatives. Regards.
