Significance of the forest land proposed for diversion from wildlife point of view
(i).
Details of wildlife present in and around the forest land proposed for diversion :
Elephant, Hyena, Mongoose, Wild boar, Jungle cat, Barking deer, Fox, Langur, Rhesus Macaque, Snakes, Birds etc. In and around the area proposed for diversion is rich in faunal diversity. Animals like Elephant, Hyena, Mongoose, Wild boar, Jungle cat, Barking deer, Fox, Langur, Rhesus Macaque etc. can be sighted frequently. Inrecent time, regular reports of Human-Elephant conflicts due to elephant herd is being reported from the area. There is a genuine need of Wildlife Management Plan to mitigate the adverse impacts and disturbance expected to arise from this projectconsidering the continuous presence of elephant herd and other mentioned animalsin the area.
