Chatra SouthChatraDFO RecommendedUser agency has explored two alternatives apart from proposed alignment, and the proposed alignment was found to be most feasible as the other alternatives were found to be bearing coal, having greater area of forest patch involved and greater environmental impact compared to the proposed alignment. Hence, the forest land diversion with proposed alignment is recommended subject to mitigative measures.
LateharDaltonganjDFO RecommendedBased on a thorough cost benefit analysis of the project vis à vis the landscape dynamics, to balance the trade off between ecological security and energy security while ensuring that both the interests go hand in hand in a sustainable manner, the proposal submitted by CCL of the diversion of 104.28 Ha forest land under Forest Conservation Act, 1980 for Magadh Railway Siding is recommended with specific conditions as mentioned in Recommendation of DFO Latehar.
ChatraCF Recommended The Proposal is recommended for approval under the Forest Conservation Act 1980. The instant proposal is for environmental friendly coal evacuation from the mines. Yes
DaltonganjCF RecommendedBased on the information provided in Part I by the user agency, coupled with the observations from the inspection and recommendation notes of the Divisional Forest Officer, Latehar Forest Division, and considering the operational significance of the Magadh OCP Mega Coal Project of CCL, the following recommendation for the diversion of 104.28 hectares of forest land under the jurisdiction of Latehar Forest Division is proposed. This recommendation is conditional and subject to the implementation of specific mitigation and compensation measures, alongside the payment of net present value NPV and compensatory afforestation for the diverted forest land.Yes
