Area have presence of Wild Boar, Indian Hare, Barking Deer, Jackal, Python, Monkey, Sahil, Hyna, Nilgai, Jungli Murgi etc., and nearby area also have witnessed elephant movement.

The proposal has been submitted for diversion of 0.2846 Ha of forest land in Chatra South Forest Division for laying of 4 inch dia steel domestic CNG distribution pipeline along ROW of existing roads. The proposal for diversion involves 0.746 Ha of notified forest land and 0.2100 Ha of GMJJ land. The project will cater to the domestic energy needs of the people of Chatra district and would help bring down the dependency of people on fuel wood. The forest land required for the project is barest minimum. Hence the project is recommended.

The proposal submitted by User Agency for diversion of 0.1082 Ha. of forest land in Chatra North Forest Division for construction of City Gas Distribution Pipeline. This proposal for diversion involves 0.0854 Ha. of notified/ demarcated forest land and 0.0228 Ha. of GMJJ land in Chatra North Forest Division. The Project proposal will lead to availability of cleaner fuel, CNG at much affordable price and would help in reducing dependency on fuelwood/coal, the more polluting fuels. It will cater energy needs of Chatra District and promote socio economic development. The forest land proposed for diversion is unavoidable and is barest minimum, required for the project. Hence, the project is hereby recommended for approval.
