Koderma wildlife sanctuary is hardly 40 meters away from the proposed mining site. The site is an old mined area and another stone mining is already running just adjacent to it. No visible impact of this mining has been seen till now.

The lease was initially granted to the lease holder in the year December, 1999. The present proposal is for the renewal of the old lease covering same area. The Divisional Forest Officer, Koderma has recommended for the renewal of the lease. I agree with the recommendation of the Divisional Forest Officer. The proposal may be forwarded to Govt. of India for their consideration for acceptance of diversion of 1.21 ha. forest land.
