Working plan prescription for the forest land proposed for diversion :
As per proposed Working Plan of Saranda,the Proposed area of diversion comes under the head of CWS Working Circle & Protection Working Circle.

Brief note on vulnerability of the forest area to erosion :
The proposed diversion area is undulating hilly terrain. If canopy is opened it is prone to soil erosion. For soil conservation, check dam and others SMC work need to be taken.

Significance of the forest land proposed for diversion from wildlife point of view
(i).
Details of wildlife present in and around the forest land proposed for diversion :
As per Working Plan of Saranda Divison, animals normally found in this area are Elephant, Leopards, Bear, Wolves, Wild Boars, Hyenas, wild dogs, Spotted Dears, Samber, Porcupine, jackal, wild goats etc. Entire Saranda Forest is part of core area of Singhbhum Elephant Reserve declared vide notification no. Vanya Prani -33/2000-3640 dt. 26.09.2001 of Forest & Environment Department , Govt. of Jharkhand. However The proposed area is located in the Ghatkuri 32,33(G-32,G-33),Karampada(KP-36) Reserve Forest and Tatiba PF area which comes under proposed development mining zone – I as per “Management Plan for Sustainable Mining (MPSM) in Saranda & Chaibasa in West Singhbhum District, Jharkhand” approved by MOEF & CC, GOI vide letter no. F.No. 11-65/2014-FC (pt) dt. 08.06.2018
