The required land 4.856 ha in Khata No. 2, Plot No. 16 & 18 fall within Paharpur mauja of Gawan block. It is a demarcated and notified forest area. The area is nearly 75 km from district headquarter and also affected by naxal activities. The area is prone to illegal mining. Many cases of illegal mining have been registered. A raid was conducted in September 2016 by joint efforts of forest and police teams in which a tractor with drilling machine was seized along with huge amount of illegally min
