This proposal has been submitted for underground coal mining over 215.33 ha. of forest land which involved 132.95 ha. of notified forest and 82.38 ha. of jungle jhari GMJJ land in Ranchi Forest Division. The forest land falls in Churi village of Burmu Forest Range. No rare/endangered/ unique species of flora and fauna could be recorded here. No protected archaeological/heritage site/defence establishment or any other important monument is located in the area. The proposal is not part of any Protected Area. So, this project may be recommended for diversion of forest land.
