The proposed site for diversion of 9.69 ha. (Diversion 7.52ha. + Safety zone 2.17 ha.) Forest land is mainly Sal forest with bauxite minerals inside the earth. Total 3719 trees mainly Sal species will be cut for mining purposes which should be compensated by plantation through the compensatory afforestation scheme. The wild lives present in the area are leopards, hyenas, rabbits, porcupines, deer, bear, jackals, king cobra, viper, python, crait & dhamin snakes. Therefore a management plan for wild lives is recommended for this area. The area is undulating hence require special treatment for soil conservation measures to reduce soil erosion. Overall the proposal is recommended for diversion of applied forest land.
