DIVERSION OF 0.200 HA.OF FOREST LAND FOR C/O SEWERAGE SCHEME TO CHOWARI TOWN SH CONSTRUCTION OF SEWERAGE TREATMENT PLANT AT CHHEMBA IN TEHSIL BHATTIYAT, WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF DALHOUSIE FOREST DIVISION, DISTRICT CHAMBA H.P Recommendation The diversion of forest land is required for the C/O Sewerage Scheme to Chowari Town SH Construction of Sewerage Treatment Plant at Chamba,Tehsil Bhattiyat, Distt. Chamba H.P . This is more important of lie to this Urban area with the population of 4559 persons of this Urban area and Hotels ,Govt./Pvt. Hospitals/ beds 40, Students of Govt. School/Private School /College/ Official/ terminal 2136 persons with near about 2572 floating person etc. and at present there is no any Sewerage system in this town, so this is essential to make the town epidemic free and save the ill effect on the environment under the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan of the Govt. of India. As such the land required for the purpose is very small and minimum in extent, and it would have negligible effects on the biodiversity of the area. The proposal requires 0.200 hectare of forest land for construction of sewerage treatment plant as there is no other private land is available in the area for the purpose. Hence, proposed site has been finalized after carry out the joint inspection. There are no felling/cutting/lopping of green standing trees is involved/allowed in any way.
